Lessons along the way

Just a few of Life’s Lessons I have learned along the way……

After a while you learn the difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. You learn that love is not leaning on someone for support but lending support to everyone that you can. You begin to accept your defeats and losses with the grace of a mature adult and not the temper tantrums of a child.

You decide to build your roads to happiness and success on today for tomorrow may never come.

You help someone plant a rose garden so that others will be able to enjoy a rose in their lifetime and you learn not wait a lifetime for someone to bring you a rose.

You learn that God has given you the strength to endure, to overcome, to take control of your life and that you really do have worth.

You learn that you really are the AUTHOR of your own life and your own destiny to become the person you choose to become. You learn that you must take the time to do what any author would do and that is to pen your life based the limited time God has granted us including today.

You learn not to hurt others even though they have hurt you. You learn that forgiveness is not just for others but for your own sanity and self-worth. Kindness is only a choice away.

You learn that the only real church that matters is the church inside of you.

You always share a smile to everyone even though they are not smiling back.

You care deeply for others even if they don’t seem to care for you.

Last of all: you become so grateful to God for allowing us to have so many of His blessings. Even the ones that we so often take for granted and for having so many people to love that you daily fall to your knees with tears as you thank Him for all of His blessings and for all the people who have touched your life praying that with God’s help you might have touched their hearts and lives in a positive way.

Until our last breath on this earth may we always share JOHN 3:16 and Romans 10:13 with everyone we meet along the way.

PS: Your tombstones may become neglected and forgotten over time but the lives you have touched with love and kindness will never forgotten you. It is not the possessions that we have that matters but the good that we have done is all that will matter when it’s all said and done. Do Good!

Love you all
